It is the philosophy of the Media Center to meet the curriculum and recreational needs of the students and community of North Miami Elementary in this information society. The Media Center will support the curriculum needs of both students and teachers. This will be done with the use of print and nonprint materials. We strive to provide our students with the tools necessary to develop to their potential as critical thinkers, analytical problem solvers and caring contributors to our society. The Media Center will work to develop life-long readers. This will be done with a variety of recreational reading materials and library/media promotions. To meet these goals the Media Center selects a wide range of media on all levels of difficulty, with diversity of appeal and differing points of view.
