Marie Lucie Francois was born on August 31, 1943 in Port Au Prince Haiti.  She attended an all girl Catholic School while in Haiti.  She then moved to the United States in 1969.  She attended La Guardia Community College in New York.  Moved to Florida in 1981 and attended Miami Dade Community College and graduated with an Associates of Science in Fashion Merchandising.  While attending college she was employed with Byron’s as a full time as a sales associate and was later promoted to an Assistant Manager.  After that, she became employed with Size unlimited as an assistant manager and worked her way up to a Store Manager.  After 14 years of the retail industry, she decided to change her career path and attended school for a degree in Education at Barry University.  There she earned a Bachelors Degree in Elm Education and a Masters Degree in technology and TESOL.  Since then she has been employed with Miami Dade Schools as a Bilingual Instructor, 2^nd grade teacher, and now a 3^rd grade teacher.
