The Honorable Carrie P. Meek visited North Miami Elementary on February 17th to commemorate African American History Month.  Congresswoman Meek addressed the fourth and fifth grade students and stressed the importance of a sound education.  “Be the BEST you can be in whatever you attempt.”  “Not everyone can be a straight ‘A’student, but you can try to be the very best  person you can be.”  Congresswoman Meek was a welcomed guest at the school, and everyone enjoyed her presence.
